I've recently returned from my first overseas travel. Wide eyed, with a new perspective and motivation I haven't had for a good while. Or is that a bad while? There are many things I intend to achieve in this lifetime, and while I've toyed with various ideas for years not really getting anywhere, being overseas with plenty of alone time to think, and really work out what I want to do has given me some clarity and the basic sense that anything I want to do is possible. Ever get tired of letting fear rule your decisions and hold you back? I've done it for years and I'm over it. I've quit my job and though still working, dedicating, once more, my time to my music. I'm starting my own record label, of which The Black Hundred, my own band's debut album will help launch. While traveling I got to see some great music, and a couple of these bands I'm approaching about releasing their music on my label here in Australia. Also currently getting the hang of a little program called Ableton Live to help me be creative again, and it's helping get the musical ideas flowing - though I haven't been playing as much guitar on my new Jazzmaster as I should be... The rest... well, the rest is being planned and slowly getting underway. You can wait for the rest ;) But as for travel... I have the bug now. I will be back in the USA in 2010. Come meet me in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Santa Fe, Austin, New Orleans, and who knows...

I played Bass in The Black Hundred, but now it's my puppy and I'll be playing a bit of everything and switching back to guitar mostly and having a crack at singing for a laugh. The Black Hundred will be my project, but I like to involve as many people as possible and am always looking for collaborators. If you have any interest, get in touch.
