McGazz is a Scottish-born singer, songwriter and electronic music composer, originally from Paisley, near Glasgow, in Scotland, but now based in Liverpool, England.
Since his first attempts at recording "bangin'" rave tunes in a local studio, aged 15, McGazz has dabbled with electronic music. He spent his student loan on a four-track and a sampler (later thrown in the bin, in a bizarre nervous breakdown incident). Since 2003, he has been recording regularly on a PC and putting the results online for free, in the vain hope that people download them.
Influences? No conscious ones. In 2004, he coined his own term, "BBC Hip Hop" to describe the music he was making. As no one else knows what he's on about, we can hardly argue.
From 1997 to 2004, McGazz organised gigs and records in Glasgow, as well as being the singer in obscure Glaswegian alternative pop band My Legendary Girlfriend, who gigged around the UK, put out several CDs, and once reached the dizzy heights of supporting The Fall and John Cooper Clarke at Glasgow's Renfrew Ferry.

Hello, just passing thru to say that voting has now closed in the Kidz on Fire Worlds Most Hip Hop Breakfast Cereal poll. Competition between cereals has been fierce throughout although the real stars really shone through by the second bowl...
The results are as follows;
In 3rd place came Lucky Charms for all of you that can remember that far back...
Second place went to Coco Pops giving the only serious competition to our eventual prize winner... Plenty of chocolaty goodness :-)
In first place, voted as the worlds most hip hop breakfast cereal, came Crunchy Nut Cornflakes! :-D This cereal works hard to entertain us with some phat flavours 24/7. Hats off to the dedicated support team at Kellogs, without them it would have never been possible.
Thanks to you also for your participation in the blog and the poll. :-)
Here is a photo of Kidz on Fire enjoying a McDonalds breakfast before the awards ceremony.
Speaking of which, there's a smokin' new Progressive Classical track up on Mad Nutcracker titled "Wasp Flight" Currently #2 in Progressive Rock on SoundClick.
