Underground economic analysis and black marketing. Also, robots, avian flu, and other trends.
Fashion: Calvin Klein (all the time), Coco Chanel, Elsa Schiaparelli, Franco Moschino, Karl Lagerfeld, John Varvatos, Jil Sander, Oaktown Stitchdown, Patrick Bay, and everyone who gives a damn. I love street trends and loathe fashion victims.
Architecture: Modernism, bitch! Fuck pomo. Chicago, Oakland, LA, and the Empire State building. I LOVE Calatrava and despise Gehry.
Art: Surrealism, Conceptual Art, Constructivism, and the young contemporary artists doing cool shit.
Hotties: Angelina Jolie, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Serena Williams, Pamela Anderson, the Gyllenhaals, Melissa Roach, Brian Faas, and Alexander Hamilton (you look at a $10 bill and tell me he's not hot).
Politics: I am an antisocialist liberal; I tend to agree with The Economist. Cultural and economic freedom go hand in hand, but social justice is very important, especially for us religious types.

Bad Kid, cut classes
About me: I am a young Renaissance man living it up in the DTO, working to make it more exciting by day and by night. This is my personal page; for my cutting-edge cultural contributions, please see my DJ team, The Bad Future. I also have a photoblog of sorts. I write weekly for Oakland's online magazine, NovoMetro.
I am an Oakland native and I know that Oakland is the most amazing city (I've been everywhere, too). I help property speculators convert offices to condos and then throw parties in them. I always represent our city's status as the best-dressed place in the world. I was raised in Rockridge when its denizens mostly spoke Italian, and now I live in the throbbing heart of downtown Oaktown (Old Oakland, specifically). I did go to high school in the 'burbs (West CoCoCo USD, nee Richmond), and college out of state, but I'm Oaktown through and through.
I enjoy bars (a bit too much), modern and contemporary art (I don't think that Impressionism is modern), in-depth (and well-lubricated) political and historical discussions, and the dark electronic music that is appropriate for our fucked-up future. My life's career goal is to be a villain on Scooby Doo, trying to scare teens away from an amusement park so I can build skyscrapers.
Brief & Odd: I've never had a driver's license, I don't like chocolate, I keep kosher, I don't drink coffee, and I have a famous roommate.
Who I'd like to meet: Old friends. And new ones, of course, although I pretty much stay in Cali. Oaklanders, electronuts, and people with really elaborate hair. Mostly, I want to meet people who know that the above should read "Whom I'd like to meet."
Funny how we should get together next week turned into 8 months!!! It's totally my fault. I have been gallivanting around the globe again!! How are you? I would still like to get together one day!!
