Karolina is a unique multi talented gold selling artist—singer, composer and versatile performer. In the past few years, she has performed her Solo Sound System show in the clubs, her acoustic set in lounges, and full band shows with Funset. She rules the radio playlists with Number-1 hits. Karolina is now the indisputable Groove diva of Israel, and she’s ready to show the world what she’s got.
Karolina created the band FUNSET in 2000 with the most talented and promising musicians in Tel Aviv . They've been spreading their "Ragga Pumpkin" sound – a colorful and associative combination, as the name suggests, of Reggae, Nu Soul, and live Trip-hop - all over the country, performing in front of increasing crowds. Funset released their first album, Ragga Pumpkin, in 2005. Though the album was self-released and promoted strictly through word of mouth and on the street, it received great critiques and sold thousands of copies to this day.".
Karolina won the equivalent of the ASCAP award, the "Acum" prize, for composition of the Funset Album. As the national taste makers credited her on the award: "an original style, fresh and lively, diverse ability to write and to excite with a unique sound".
She toured the country with her special Solo Sound System show. She also performed with The Black Eyed Peas and Lauryn Hill in their recent stops to Israel.
Karolina has recently embarked on an international career: a track from Funset album was licensed to Jazzanova’s German label compilation and her enchanting singing was included in several international Funk, Soul and even electronic releases. One of these tracks which she recorded with Kutiman, was warmly received by Fader Magazine’s musical editors, who called it “Mostly perfect for summer jamming purposes”.
Karolina recently launched her new Sound System show with Sabbo & Kutiman, two of Israel's hottest producers, opening for Erykah Badu's first concert in Tel Aviv.
Karolina recently signed a non exclusive deal with Oleh Records as another step towards spreading her music to the world and gaining the worldwide recognition she deserves.
