Debra was born to Mrs. Mary Lee McKinney and the late Mr. J.D. McKinney, Sr. of Sylacauga, Alabama. Debra's mother encouraged her to sing at a very young age teaching her to lead and helping her to overcome stage fright. Debra answered the calling on her life to minister to the hurting, depressed and lost soul. Music has away of encouraging, and uplifting our spirits. Her strong church upbringing has always been an important part of her lifestyle.
Since 1993, Debra has resided in Birmingham, Alabama.
