The clips sound Great. You are quite teh player and have great tone. Two good combos! Gotta love the V3. I like it better than any amp that I have had. I am dumping my Lonestar now.

I have a CT4M that looks almost exactly like yours. It is white, but has chrome hardware. I have a Blue one too with a BEM NIN board that I love. That is a great looking fatboy you have there. I have had two of those, but I ended up dumping them. I will get another some day. I have a rotating stock. Right now, my favorite is an '89 DC127. I just won an 80s doubleneck that I plan to use on some tunes here and there. I am waiting for my Ultra V that is on Order and a V220 that I won last week on the Bay.

While all the tones, playing and songs are super cool I gotta say your lead tone on the Bel Air song really got to me. That sounds SWEET. GReat tracks!

oh boy....btw...congratulations on the new baaby!!! I also have a son..he's 10 now. BTW...good to hear you got yourself a Fender, waaaay different clean from a Carvin Vintage series. As for me, I just can't seem to justify to buy a Fender when I'm happy with the Nomad right now. I heard those things are heavy. I guess I'm gonna hear original songs from you with clean tones now eh?

Downers Grove...sweet. I am originally from Chicago myself. In hindsight while I love my SC90 I sometimes wish I had gotten a DC series guitar. Although all my Carvin gear is ridiculously high quality for the $$$. Take it easy!

Great gear dude. I am holding out for a fatboy although I wouldn't complain if i had a a DC Series axe on my wall. Happy New Year and let's not forget... CARVIN RULES

Nov 18 2006 10:14 PM

the lead channel crapped out on me...I got it now and it sound better than before...I had only EH EL34s in there and they changed it to new GT 6L6Rs....with my Vin 30s in there...it sounds awesome. Carvin changed the MTS back to GT12s ...really scooped sounding speaker...good for cleans though....but I think it sounds really good with Vintage 30s in them.
Phillip F.

Nov 17 2006 11:18 PM

hahahahaha....I can't... I'm musically brain dead for the past few weeks....trying to come up with something new. I will be picking up my MTS tomorrow though at Carvin....hope they fixed it really good....2 bills to get it fixed...geez.

V4... hehe... i wish. That's my friend's. The Vai is Phil's. Yea... those X100B are getting rediculously expensive.

Nov 9 2006 1:50 PM

I've always been a Carvin believer. Remember... my first really tube gigging amp was an old Carvin X100B 1/2 stack and a combo X60B for practice. Matched with an OD-1 or a nice tube driver pedal your in tone heaven, hehe. I just haven't bought any Carvin amps recentlly because... they're too expensive for me and I'm not that great of a guitar player like Phil and you, LOL!!!
Phillip F.

Nov 6 2006 10:28 PM

thanks dude. I use a super budget setup...a TASCAM US-224...a mic..and a Sonar 3 PE software.

Oct 29 2006 11:54 AM

...that V3 sounds amazing....really really angry. Stratman5150(post below) is not yet a believer of Carvin amps...I'm slowly brainwashing him....he's a Mesa dude. lol
stratman5150

Another Carvin endorsee, haha!!! That's cool. How do you like the V3? Kinda interesting. My friend, Phil, can't stop raving about his new Nomad.
