| About Mclean-Battling at Don't Flop-22/11-York |
Born in Rotherham October 28th 1987, Andy Mclean got into rap music from an early age, listening to artists such as NWA, Wu-Tang, Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Tupac and Biggie.
However it was not until early 2007 when meeting artist from the Sheffield Hip-hop scene such as Vex One, Nem and Constant Creation, as well as going through School with local favourite J Yezza, that he began writing and recording his own material.
Inspired by those around him, being close friends with several big names in the local scene, Mclean is putting 100% into getting where he wants to be – a well established name in the ever-improving Sheffield Music Scene.
With collaborations with Vex One, Nem and JD already under his belt as well as becoming known more and more for cyphering/freestyle battling in the Sheffield Scene, Mclean made quick progress with the promise of a lot more to come.
However in May 2008, Mclean made the decision to take some time out from Everything and moved to Lanzarote to work as a rep. In this job he could take a break from issues that had arisen in the UK and once he is back in Sheffield late 2008, he promises to come back better than before with a new style and new sound......
