First things first - The Detroit Music Awards are NOT a popularity contest. The band who has the most fans does NOT necessarily win. These awards are nominated and voted upon by people who work in the local music industry - and we DO check your credentials before giving you voting rights! Asking your fans to lie about their involvement is unethical - please do not do that. It makes life harder for our administrative staff, and unpleasant all around.
That being said, if you are working in the Detroit music industry, sign up and PARTICIPATE!
