McProb is a band from Salerno devoted to the purest melodic punk rock.The idea of the group came about thanks to Giovanni and Gianluca (gutairs and vocals) from their experience in various previous groups and from their desire to play together. The problem regarding the drummer was rsolved when Gino came on to the scene, and then the arrival of Alessandro, in Spring 2003, completed the circle.There was such great enthusiasm that, after only six months of playing together, in October the same year, a homonymous demo tape was produced of the work done so far four self-produced songs. Entirely melodious and melancholy mediterranean punk rock.Unfortunately, though, exactly at the same time as the completion of the demo tape, for various personal reasons, the group split-up.After a pause of several months and collaborating with other bands in the zone (Normavana, Delicious Fear), Adriano (the good man) unexpectedly joined the band on the drums taking over from Gino, and this seemed to give the right dose of enthusiasm to the group which finally began working at full rhythm again.But something is still not quite right...............Because the lads dont have the space to utilize as a decent practice room and the 2 or 3 which are available in the neighbourhood are overbooked, they have to make do with the least worst. However, in the long run this created on uneasiness which didnt take long to show itself.The brillant idea of a group of friends from Salerno (Naadir, Normavana and Gilman street) to rent a garage (Box 56) and to use it as a personal practice room, gave McProb the motivation needed again, even though this venture meant quite a lot of sacrifices, above all economic ones.Box 56 has been a happy reality since May 2005. McProb have never been as active and now there is a determining factor: Cristian (vocalist and guitarist from Gilman Street) has joined the group to form an unusual trio of guitarists.Today, McProb seem to have found the right dimension with a sound that is notably different (quicker and more dynamic) they have more experience to back them and they are more mature.At present they are working on new material, with a view to next recording session predicted to be at the end of the year.

Sicuramente è aprrezzabile essere ottimisti, nessuno vuole negare il diritto alla speranza, ma pensiamo che non ci sia molto da festeggiare dato l'attuale momento storico e sociale. Fermi tutti.... non vogliamo fare "pippotti" sulla politica o sull'economia... vogliamo solo darvi uno spunto per una riflessione!!
