Who I'd like to meet:
anyone that loves bikes and would like to come play with us or against us.

The Manchester Bicycle Polo team started in April 2007. Since then we have played every week and taken part in many tournaments and matches.

It is an exiting and exhilarating sport to play or even just to watch! And playing can help improve your balance and overall cycling skills that are transferable to road and mountain biking.

If you would like to get involved then come along to one of our practises where we teach new comers how to play the sport free of charge and then have a few practise matches. Every Thursday at 6pm at Whitworth Park, Denmark Road

Every 2nd and 4th Sunday we meet for an inter-city tournament with teams from Manchester playing against each other. Feel free to come and watch!

The dude of can-do Chris Tipton has managed to sort out work permits for the band so it's all groovy. Yes! They have a pretty special tape out on Blackest Rainbow. We can't recommend them highly enough. The Fifth Band is the gobsmacking trio of Stephen Lawrie (The Telescopes), Bridget Hayden (Vibracathedral Orchestra) and Kryszt Hladowski (The Family Elan). Oof. A Wake is the duo of Nick Mitchell and Fliss Horrocks who also play in Beach Fuzz. This will actually probably end-up being a Beach Fuzz performance - this incarnation's first inside the UK.

nes	Mar 18 2008 8:25 PM Bicycle Treasure Hunt Saturday 29th March 3pm SHARP at Urbis Gardens A 3 hour challenge on bikes to get the most points by cycling to different points in the city or completing certain tasks from the sheet given on the day. You get a list of tasks with an assigned number of points for each one. How many points can you get in 3 hours? BRING digital camera/camera phone, bag, pen, paper, map of Manchester... oh and a bike. It doesn't matter how fast you are or whether you're riding a shopper or a carbon fixie...points are won with cleverness and creativity...plus theres lots of winners inc. the child with most points, most points for person in best fancy dress etc etc EXAMPLE OF POINTS SYSTEM: 20 points: whoever can get back dressed as a pirate 10 points: visit checkpoint at All Saints park Email to register on this event by emailing info@ibikemcr.org.uk

If you can help on the opening night with the roller race or the cafe then please get in touch. Be a steward on the Hell Of the North West Alleycat race/ Alleykitten. We need 5 to stand at different points in the city and sign off the racers as they get to the point. You will only be required to stay there for an hour at absolute maximum. Perform If you'd like to play music at the opening night event or if you'd like to put on a bicycle related performance whilst the exhibition is on, get in touch!
