MC RSI is a nerdy kid who talks to much about meaningless topics, sometimes over
music. This led him to become a geeksta rapper and perform what is called
nerdcore hip-hop.
What is Nerdcore hiphop?
Wkikpedia says:
Nerdcore hip hop, or geeksta rap, is a subgenre of hip hop music that is
performed by nerds or geeks, and is characterized by themes and subject matter
considered to be of general interest to nerds. Self-described nerdcore musician
MC Frontalot coined the term in 2000 in the song "Nerdcore Hiphop". Frontalot,
like most nerdcore artists, self-publishes his work and has released much of it
for free online. As a niche genre, nerdcore generally holds to the DIY ethic,
and has a strong amateur tradition of self-publishing and self-production.
Why do you herald as MC RSI
For the uninformed RSI stands for repetitive stain injury. I have had RSI for
four years now and have trouble sitting down
and using my hands.
Before I was called MC RSI I was called MC Squared and before that I was called
DJ JD and before that I was called Disco Death. Basically I like coming up with
names more than I like rapping and recording and that is probably reflected in
my songs.
What makes you a nerd?
Im not a nerd Im a lever 60 Necromancer ( just kidding)
The definition of nerd is a very broad. But I identify with being a nerd because
I spend copious amount of time at the computer which lead to RSI, I love
computer games and RPGs (Thats role playing games not rocket propelled
grenades just incase the CIA or AISIO is reading) my skill at sport is lacking,
I pertain a pretentious lexicon and I have a massive self confidence except when
talking to very attractive girls.
You said you loose self confidence when talking to very attractive girls. Why
then do you describe yourself as a Neck romancer?
No you Ninny!, I describe my self as a necromancer, a wizard who raises the
dead.
What is your musical background?
I have started to play the ukelele and constantly think about playing the guitar. I play the lead cowbell and sometimes the bass cowbell.
In some of your songs you mention bringing down the popular kids. What is your gripe against popularity
Well not that i hate anything or anybody that is popular. I Just didn't like the attitude of some kids at school who treated the other kids like scum. To bring down the so called popular kids i reccomend never refering to them as popular and always refer to what they do as stupid.
