General
Mike and I are adventurous people, when time and money allows. Some activities we enjoy are hiking, scuba diving, snorkeling, white water rafting and exploring in general. In the mean time, my favorite thing to do for myself is to draw up a hot bath and soak with a good book.
Music
My favorite bands are: Dave Matthews, Incubus, 10 Years, and Coldplay. I enjoy going to rock concerts with my husband. We've seen: Tool, DMB, Incubus, 10 Years, Coldplay, Sevendust, Godsmack, Staind, Korn, and many others.
I have noticed that my music taste has been mellowing out lately. Some new artists I like to listen to are Esperanza Spalding, Alicia Keys and am still looking for more.
Movies
My favorite movie genres are: Action/Adventure and Comedies. I'm a big fan of Adam Sandler. I LOVE the Harry Potter movies (and books).
Television
We have gotten rid of our cable. I pretty much will only watch PBS now and that is for children show for my son. I read more now and rarely watch any television shows.
Books
I've always been a reader. I like historical fiction and epic adventures. My favorite books of all-time are: the Harry Potter series, the Chronicles of Narnia series, and Gone with the Wind. I have been reading more inspirational books lately. I am following a book list from www.christianbookclub.godsdaytimer.com/. So far I have really enjoyed what I've read. I'm also reading The Lord of the Rings. I got the set of books for Christmas.
Heroes
When I was 13 years old, my Dad died at sea. He was captain of a commercial fishing boat called "The Florida Cracker". The boat capsized during a storm. He escaped the sinking ship, but two of his friends were trapped. He returned to the boat and saved them, but it cost him his life. So my Dad is my ultimate hero. He sacrificed his life to save others.
My husband is my hero, daily. He is a testament to strength, determination, kindness and committment. He is so loving and so patient. He is truly my inspiration.
