When it comes to music, I like to be modest. Everyone and their step sister says that they are a guitar hero.
I suppose that I can strum a few chords here and there.
I am currently writing the third and fourth novels in what will be a six-book series. The completed first (80k words) and second(40k wrds) books exhibit experimental metafictional twists in their dark fiction plots. I am still undiscovered.
I'm a good person, but don't worry... I'm studying to be an asshole.
When I get bored I write... sometimes music, sometimes words. Hit play on the media player to hear music. Click on a blog to read writing. It's very simple, really.
Just try to remember that every note in every one of my songs was written by me... and that every letter in every word of my blogs was also written by me... If you want to steal from me, let me know first please. Everything is copyright me now.
Copies of The Suburbs of Life, Annie Moore, and Romantic Sublime are NO LONGER on sale. My website is gone forever. You can still hear a much smaller selection of my music at myspace.com/colpanik. That's me. I am the only member of Colonel Panik.
I NEED CHRISTMAS IDEAS FOR YOU, LISA AND NORA. TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT OR I WILL BE FORCED TO GET YOU SOME CHEAP STAR WARS FIGURES OR MAYBE EVEN A MR. T DOLL IF I CAN STILL FIND ONE.
Mark, Mary Ellen asked me today if you wrote a book entitled, Annie Moore. She has a kindle and she found the book. She figured there weren't too many Mark Ds around. I'm going to buy it to and pitch it to my book club next month. Is it available in paper copy? Mommy
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! The check is in the mail, as they say. I thought you might want to know (if I didn't already tell you this), I was horribly overdue by the time February 10th rolled around. I went to the doctor and demanded that he induce me. I wanted him to do it on Valentine's day, but he only did inducing on Thursdays, which in 1978 was the 16th of February. I was induced at 7:00am in the morning and was playing cards with your father when I felt some pressure around noon. The nurse came in and said, "ooh, I better get the doctor." The doctor thanked me for taking him from his awful corned beef lunch in the hospital. You were born around 1:30. You were the smallest of all of my boys, weighing in at 7 lbs. 3oz (but you were at 10 lbs by two weeks, so I always wondered if they messed up your weight at the hospital). Now for the best part: why did I name you Mark? Well, as you know, Michael was a hyperactive handful. Next door to us was a lady who had a baby who was really quiet and his name was Mark. Everyone had always told me (afterwards, of course) that 'Michaels' were wild and hyper. So I figured if I named you Mark, you would be nice and quiet. It worked! I wanted to spell your name Marc, but your father wouldn't have it. Your middle name is after your father's father's middle name, but I think you know that. Oh, you could recite the entire alphabet just before you turned three (before Michael, which was a problem, for Michael). You two never fought, that I can remember.
Have a fun birthday and don't take life too seriously. The past is the past, what you make of your life is up to you! America really is the land of opportunity. Consider Mike and me, bankrupt nearly ten years ago. Our educations got us good jobs, and with hard work, look what we have accomplished. You can too. Beg, borrow, live on the street, but GO TO SCHOOL!
When you get to be my age, you realize every minute counts, we aren't here forever, and putting your energy towards making your life happy and full if time well spent.
