  • Bio

Meagan Brothers is a native Carolinian currently waylaid in Asbury Park, New Jersey. As the former guitarist for Asbury Park's own Steel Pier Sinners, Meagan was best known for petty vandalism and pissing off Kurt Loder. Now she's just winging it, with mixed results. As for Mike Fornatale...well, what can we say about him? People use words like "genius." "Mastermind." "El Presidente." But around these parts, we just call him "cuddly." The whole setup is kinda like the Eurythmics, but without the terrible beards. And, for the record, Meagan Brothers is not related to or affiliated with Dr. Joyce Brothers, Cary Brothers, The Allman Brothers, The Everly Brothers, The Brothers Johnson, the Flying Burrito Brothers, or Sister Sledge. For better or for worse. You can get the new EP, WE ARE ALL BROTHERS for just 5 bucks at any upcoming show. It may not change your life, but it sure will comb your mustache! ***Postscript - Meagan Brothers is also the author of a young adult novel called Debbie Harry Sings in French, out now from Henry Holt. Meagan Brothers is currently at work on two other novels, neither of which include lengthy references to herself in the third person, thank goodness.

    hi again meagan!

i'm playin nyc on thursday, my first big city gig. if you're lookin for a good time, it's called "the night of 1000 ukes" (as in "ukulele") at otto's shrunken head on east 14th street between avenues A & B. there are a slew of uke-wielding artists starting around 8, i'm the punk one and i'm last at 11:15.
i always throw in a couple blondie tunes for good measure :-D ~kat
