That is indeed a bust - just tomorrow night... and then cancelled again. ;( At least I've found some other venues y'all play! I'll be in Tidewater some, so hopefully I'll find one again.
Hope you liked the lyric - guess it was good to have finished it ahead of time. Well - the bartender last night said he intended to get me drunk, and it was a success. First time ever karaoke. They said my Pink Floyd was good. I don't recall any opinions about Where Would You Be? by Martina McBride. Falsetto only works so well :) but I had the tune at least. Twas probably terrible, but fun for a moment. See ya! Merry Christmas
Thanks! It's been so long - lyrics to the tune of Over the Rainbow
At last I don't remember - I see you. So long the wait for November, And now I'm seeing you.
Sometimes it seemed I couldn't wait. So often I'd anticipate The joy to hear you. To see you two collaborate - A thrill indeed to celebrate. Tonight, we dance to you.
Sometime late in November Seemed so far. Now's the time to remember - I'd put it in a jar.
I dared to dream of seeing you, And now at last that dream's come true. A miracle how time goes by.
It was great seeing you guys play last night at the Omni. Thanks for playing my favorite song "Over the Rainbow" for the second time. :-) It was beautiful!
You all were great tonight at FIRKIN. I hadnt seen Steve James since he left the area years ago. He was one of the pioneers in the early years of the MEONA AWARDS. I saw him at Manhattans many times back in the late 90's Below is a listing of '96 & '97 MEONA AWARDs AS THEY EXISTED IN THE EARLY YEARS BEFORE THERE WERE CERTIFICATES
STEVEN SLOOP ------------------------------------------------------

It feels woefully long until November, But as does a photograph do I remember. I play your tunes and in a while In my head appears your smile.
They take me away to a better day To that place by the bay - So long as they play.
At times a little singing girl I hear Whose song today can bring a tear That clears the eye so it can cheer A heart and set it free, all music to revere.
Until the time of giving thanks, When sense of warmth will need an ember I'll conduct business, I'll dance in a bank, I will listen, and I'll wait for November.
Thanks for the add - I need to get down to check you guys out sometime - and if you're ever in need of some fellow musicians playing acoustic music, give us a shout! ~ Ray, Percussion - JWP
