I am a guitar player. I started young, when ever I would visit a cousin of mine, I would go for the old beat up guitar he had in his toy box. I had an uncle who noticed. He bought my first guitar, and started me with lessons. The lessons lasted until baseball season started.(About six weeks) That was the end of my formal training. From there, it was an on and off relationship with the guitar, that I taught myself to play. My first book was Ed Sales Learn to Play Guitar in Seven Days. I bought it out of a comic book add. I learned G, C and D. As I grew up, I started "writing" my own songs. As a teenager I dreamt of being a rock and roll star. I "wrote" songs, and with my first guitar would record using an old reel to reel recorder, and a coffee can for drums. My friends were to be my band mates. I drew album covers, and took the fantasy as far as I could. As the years went by, I meet a few people who helped me with my playing. I eventually got my first band together in the early 90's. We mostly played at our band house, which was anywhere we hadn't been evicted from. We even had a couple of live gigs. Our last gig was just after the last eviction, and everyone wound up going their separate ways. That was in the summer of 1995. I have played the guitar for my own enjoyment since. I recently bought a computer and a music studio program, which brings me to the rest of my band. Mystercee is my computer. The songs I have now, have been composed using the computer and software. I am learning to be an engineer with the program. I have some instruments, microphone, and samples included with the music studio program. I hope you enjoy the results of my learning experience, as I continue to chase my dreams.
