    I pretty much like it all but am a hard rocker at heart. Born and raised on Sabbath, Maiden, Dio, Scorps, Priest,... any good band with good players and a righteous set of pumping lungs and a solid groove. But I also love Jazz, Fusion, killer chicken pickers and guys like Robben Ford, Larry Carlton, Gary Moore, Jeff Beck, and many more.... I've been getting into a lot of the newer bands which in the 90's I was having a hard time finding very many I really liked. I'm diggin Fair To Midland, Disturbed, Tool, and many more as well as enjoying seeing some of what started in the 80's still rocking hard like Tesla and many others.

    Star Wars (series), Alien, Lord of the Rings (series), Willy Wonka (original), Star Trek (series), I love most any good sci fi, action/adventure, comedy, some of the good slice and dice and those scary religion based thrillers like The Exorcist, The Omen and more...

    I don't read much unless they are technical manuals for software or machinery, boating related, music or entertainment magazines.

About me:

..   What can I say I have built my life around music as the core and expanded upon this theme. I am a Guitar Builder/Designer/Engineer by day under my company’s name of Fine Tuned Instruments LLC www.finetunedinstruments.com originally known as the founder of the Baker Guitars when we operated in Santa Maria, CA.

I also play in a rock band on the weekends to maintain my weekend warrior status. The bands name is Mean Gene and the Portable Jon's found at www.meangene.org as well as my own solo acoustic act dubbed "Just Me-an Gene", just me my guitar and a microphone. I stumbled onto My Space by a friend Jeni Blue that told me I should check it out and would be a good place to let more people hear about what we do.

    Wanted to remind everyone about tonights show featuring ED VALLANCE from London, England. Ed has a international distributiion deal for his first full length release "The Modern Life." His song DEEP END can be heard on VH-1 when they actually play vidoes! He also has a few other great songs being supported by stations such as Indie 103.1 in Orange County. We believe ED VALLANCE will break big in the coming year or two. Please help us to support great independent live music and come out tonight for some fun! SEMANTICS and THE ILLUSORY open.     You should see these LED lights I got for my kicks and snare. They're sound-activated...
    Hey man, if it looks that way in coming months (which would be sweet) you've gotta get up and do at least a couple with us. Bring an axe and a pedal that allows you to go directly in to the PA if you don't wanna bring an amp.
    The lead to "My Guitar Gently Weeps" is something we are missing. Can you play that one?
    We've got like 7 hours of tunes. About 26 songs are Beatles covers.
    I will be insulted if you don't join in...
