Mean Molly's Trio = Ray Charles + The Raconteurs + Mudhoney + The Black Keys"MMT's sound is something sort of like rockabilly, blues, garage rock and surf rock, blended together. Give the CD a listen and you'll know why my eardrums are screaming from the pain of Things I See." SLUG Magazine"...vocalist Timm Gehrett's voice gets the party raging, sounding as if ravaged by years of hard liquor and sword swallowing, his delivery is fit for Anytown USA's shadiest biker-bar." Salt Lake City Weekly
Mean Molly’s Trio was formed in February 2004 at a swap when Mark (Uncle Elvis) and Timm (Rev. Big Daddy G.). High school rivals who hadn’t seen each other in ten years, bumped into each other rummaging through someone’s old record collection. After the usual banter a light of inspiration struck; Timm put down his Lightnin’ Hopkins and Mark the latest Mudhoney LP; they turned to each other and said, “Let’s start a band!” After a couple of jam sessions and a stroke of genius Mark called on Clint (Stank) and asked him to drop in on rhythm guitar and keys, to that he gracefully declined. He had just picked up a fancy trap kit and wanted to try his hand on the skins. After wrastling around for a while he finally picked up a beat, dropped a groove, the rest, as they say... is living history!
