The Meantown blues band got together in 2001. The band was founded by moe and joel after a great blues metl down in cihcoutimi. Since then, the band is playing with many musicians such as: Max Derosiers & M.Fuse from the mockin'Birds, Hugo deraspe, Denis meloche, Alain Leclerc, Sylvain d. and many more... The band is mostly playing music that goes from the Chicago Blues to the the great American Soul
Le groupe MEANTOWN est un groupe composé de cinq musiciens : Martin Girard (Basse), Sylvain Deraspe (Drums), Maxime Desrosiers (voix), Joël Jean (Guitare) et Michel Leblanc (saxophone). MeanTown est une musique à saveur Soul et Rythme & Blues des années 50 et 60. Ils interprètent des succès écrits par de grands noms tels que : Wilson Pickett, Otis Reading, James Brown et Ray Charles. Le groupe a été fondé en 2001 par Martin Girard et Joël Jean, et ils ont fait une apparition très remarquée au Festiblues International de Montréal à l’été 2002.
