Measured in Grey is a punk band hailing from Orange County, New York. They formed in mid-2006 when brothers Johnny and Ian Keane wanted to start something new. Calling themselves Before We Hang they struggled to keep a totally consistent line-up, going through a slew of bass players until October 2006 when bassist Sean McGuckin joined the band and they changed thier name to Measured In Grey. In January 2007 original guitarist Chris "Brizz" Brizzolara left the band. Shortly thereafter guitarist Dustin Wallace joined and they began recording some demos, which were released in the following months. By spring of 2007 original drummer Jesse Barr had left and was replaced by Brad Conklin. This was the line up until March of 2009 when guitarist Dustin Wallace left to persue his other band With The Punches. Within hours of Dustin leaving the band current guitarist Billy Smith (formerly of The Black Hand) had joined the band. The current line up is John Keane on vocals, Ian Keane on guitar, Sean McGuckin on bass, Brad Conklin on drums and Billy Smith on 2nd guitar. The band has recorded one album in the summer 2008 which was never formally released. The band remains unsigned.
Measured In Grey has mostly played shows in the north east area of the country but has also ventured down the east coast as far as South Carolina. They have shared the stage with such notable acts as Bayside, The Gaslight Anthem, The Loved Ones, Stretch Arm Strong, I Am The Avalanche, Joe Coffee, The Casting Out, Nothington, Four Year Strong, and The Fiendz among a slew of others.
For fans of Jawbreaker, Hot Water Music, Samiam, Alkaline Trio, Smoking Popes, and the Misfits.

As you may or may not have heard, We all have suffered a loss recently. The Dew Drop is no longer with us. This is a loss that affects more people than you may realize,from the people who worked there to earn an honest living to the people who just went there to blow off some steam. Everyone at the Dew has treated us with the up most respect. It was was also a staple in the PunkRock/Metal Local Scene. Some of the BEST local shows i have ever seen have been in that building! IT WILL BE MISSED!
