   Meat Magazine's Blurbs
About me:

Meat magazine aims to showcase an exciting and eclectic mix of stuff, pulling it out of the shadowy recesses of peoples portfolios and shining it into readers eyes. Be it comics, writing, artwork, photography, satire or anything else - it is all here, both in our magazine and online at

We like genuine talent, heartfelt rants and honest fun, and want them to be cool again, rather than simply telling people whats in / out / it, what the next big band is or who looks a bit fat at the moment. We like substance without the spin, the potential of blogs, open-source info, unrestricted journalism, and any means to get peoples work and opinions out there.

The whole point of Meat is for YOU to get your stuff seen by other people. People from all over the place send us their writings and drawings, their photos and cartoons, and we put it out in the magazine and webzine. The mag comes out every two months and goes into all the libraries across the country, gets sold in all the big mama bookshops, all the trendy art gallery bookshops and gets sent on subscription to as many design studios, publishing houses &c. that weve managed to tether down.

We hope you think this is a good idea too, because we want you to get involved.

ISSUE 4 IS OUT NOW, and is on sale via the site and several stockists, including Borders, The Tate Modern, The ICA & The Whitechapel Gallery. Go down to your local bookshop, have a sneaky peek at it, buy it if you fancy, but more than anything, send us your stuff to put in next issue! Many thanks.

Who I'd like to meet:
People who would like to contribute work (all styles/angles considered), find out more, get involved...

NEW BOOK OUT NOW:
Chthonic - Prose & Theory
by Vadge Moore

"Vadge Moore is an American author and musician that has spent a lifetime testing the boundaries of good and evil. He toured and recorded with the infamous sleaze-punk institution The Dwarves, apocalyptic rock group Neither-Neither World, and his own nihilist-noise unit Chthonic Force. He has written for the early nineties occult journal Primal Chaos, the esoteric magazine Dagobert's Revenge, and the controversial web 'zine Synthesis. Recently Vadge has taken up an aphoristic-prose style of writing that best expresses his iniquitous and sinister insights into the mind of Man. Chthonic: Prose & Theory is just that; prose wedded to theory that scrutinizes the human, all too human, Monster that is Man."
"Chthonic: Prose & Theory" is a collection of perverse and violent prose wedded to his own brand of occult esoterica. Peer into the mind of one of America's greatest living libertines.

Torpedo fiction quarterly mark the 25th anniversary of the death of author Richard Brautigan with a special tribute issue co-edited and with a foreword by Richard Brautigans daughter Ianthe Brautigan.

The special issue features Brautigan inspired fiction from 30 writers, a section of Brautigans own writing in the middle plus a specially designed envelope containing 8 full colour A5 double-sided prints featuring artwork based on his stories. One of which prints is a comic strip by myself, using Richard Brautigans own text, called 'The Library'.

I have uploaded two new vile tracks from Cult of Blood: "Our Shining Plague" and "Cruel but Just." "Our Shining Plague" is a meditative deep ballad. "Cruel but Just" is the most ferocious track on the album. Enjoy my friend-JudgeH

Greetings my friend,

The path humanity walks is dark and bloody. "Cult of Blood" (DIGIPACK) illuminates the perversity of religion and the vile actions it inspires. "Cult of Blood" is ferocious and deep. We bleed for nothing. Our pain is endless. Our wrists are open and our sacrifice is in vain. "Cult of Blood" is my gift to you. Bleed with me.

*** NEW BAND NAME *** NEW MYSPACE ***

Hi, we wanted to let everyone know that as of October 2008, God Love You For A Liar will be known as The Guilty Hands.
This myspace will cease to be active shortly.

Click here to visit and add the new myspace.

If you're getting more into facebook these days (and who can blame you???), go to facebook groups and search for "The Guilty Hands", and you'll get all our gig and release information there.

We're really excited about the new songs we have. If you're excited too, please join us over the other side. If you were a kind of random friend, why not have a quick listen to the songs and clips on the new myspace and see if you get excited about us too. Can't hurt to have a go, can it?

Best wishes,
Gareth, Andy, Paul and Martin.

Help us win £15,000 to record an album!
Hello Londoner. Cor blimey, in a rather exciting turn of events, GLYFAL have reached the showcase stage on the "Slice The Pie" website - which means we're competing with about 15 other artists (out of a field of 100s) to win money to record an album.
And record it well.

All you have to do is sign up to the site and then go to the "all genres 9" showcase and vote. Just type "www. slicethepie. com" into your browser (don't click, myspace thinks it's spam for some inexplicable reason) and it's obvious from there.

If you do you will have our profound gratitude, and we'll produce the album you know we're capable of.

Many thanks. We'll put you on a plinth.
