Raul Petraglia - ME Cancun

About me:

I have three passions in life—family, friends, and my job. The latter, however, is a lot like an on-again off-again relationship; some days I'm in love with it, others, it's insufferable. If anything, managing ME Cancun is demanding, but I could think of no other place I'd rather work.

What I enjoy most about my job is event planning. Seeing ideas from infancy to fruition is a lot like being a father, or so I'm told. It requires a great deal of creativity, and if they succeed, everyone is happy, but if they fail, well, we all know how that can turn out. Hence why it's demanding. Optimizing for revenue, planning the millions of little details that go into running a successful hotel or event; at times it has the potential to take me away from my other two passions [see above].

To someone contemplating a vacation to Mexico or a stay at ME Cancun, I would have to suggest they prepare for a new experience. Mexico is a country remarkably still intact to its colorful history and nature. As far as ME Cancun goes—how can I describe such a remarkable resort without gushing?

The hotel features a welcoming contemporary design and art not merely thrown about, but expertly chosen and arranged; art you can appreciate. From music that guides the senses, to the staff, to the extravagant suites, to the rise and fall of the sun, I feel as though we designed ME Cancun with these delicacies in mind; creating an environment of great energy and vibe.

If I could make two suggestions to any future guests of ME Cancun, I would first prescribe a dinner at our signature Asian bistro, SILK, and an evening at our Maxim lounge music deck where we throw our day pool parties, featuring Go-Go dancers and live performances.
