What nice people have said about us,
"Your no-nonsense shit rules!" - Joe - Kling Klang
"Personally I love you guys but my speakers are quite big so the bass makes me need a shit"
"It's like the national anthem of the Republic of Attention Deficit Disorder. This, surely, can only be a good thing..."
"It's so bonkers that it seems to have broken my left speaker. Ah no, I'd just inadvertently muted my left input. Jeez, it's even more deranged in stereovision. Corking."
"Your new stuff is like a lovely big piece of chocolate cake with jam and glass in it"
"You'll have to turn down, you're too loud" - Shortly before being kicked off at the Liverpool Anarchists' Christmas do.
"Please stop, you're scaring the kids!" - After making children cry during a sound check.
Mechagodzilla was formed in 1997 by young people aiming to make an horrific noise for a bit of a laugh. Their main influences were people unconvincingly dressed as monsters and loud fast things.
Over the years very little has changed, apart from the line-up and some (lots, really) grey hairs. Mechagodzilla tread the fine line between inspired art, and a celebration of stupidity - more often than not the line becomes quite blurred, which is all part of the idea.
The band members past and present have had quite a varied musical background, take a very open minded view of what music is, and why, then set about murdering it.
Several members past and present are ex-members of Narcosis, who have done some fast grindy stuff. And a member out of the astronomically fucking fast band The ergon carousel www.myspace.com/rocklikeergon Others are involved with Charger, who also have been around for a while, one is the member of Heskin Radiophonic Workshop, and yet another an ex-member of Mazey Fade - former Domino Records recording artistes, and veterans of three Peel Sessions.
Some of the bands Mechagodzilla have played with include Hard to Swallow, Kling Klang, Converge, Narcosis, American Heritage, StrayDogCafe, Iron Monkey, agaskodoteliverek, Bilge Pump, Tigers!, Tangaroa, John Holmes, Beecher, Threads, Corinthians and Mugstar. And shit loads more we can't remember. Here is some footage of us at the mello, mello courtesy of class A audio, supporting Bob logIII.

Four tracks on clear vinyl. I have 100 copies out of 333, and a couple have purple streaks on the record - if you get one of those, you're a lucky boy...

now I take offence at the "c*nt from preston" song, now I may a cunt from Preston myself but rather that than a Gaping ass from wigan (i mean this in the kindest way) anyhow nice little ditties you play
PALEHORSE: One of the most truly devastating and encapsulating live experiences you'll ever see. On tour in the UK, Palehorse bring their crusty but occasionally sweet alt-crust-sludge to crumple the Sheffield Red House, leaving no survivors
MOLOCH: Relatively new faces, but hitting the ground running are Notts based Moloch. These ex-members of Army of Flying Robots bring a sickening blend of the riffs and hooks of traditional sludge with the noise roots of crust punk. Shocking to the core, in the most satisfying of ways
BERSERKOWITZ: South Yorkshire's own deviants of Eyehategod/Bongzilla worship Berserkowitz have tried and tried to warn the Red House what having them back to their beautiful establishment will do for their health, but they just won't listen.

Nobody pays any attention to this shit anyway, but I'd just lke to point out that because you have been privellidged / unfortunate enough to find this stuff, and through reading this we now own your soul. WE OWN YOU!
We need someone to add vocalisation to our divinely inspired maelstrom. Could do with some gigs also. Don't take this lightly, this is a freindly warning.
