Medal Jam is an underground bboy/bgirl event that takes place at a different street venue each month. Focusing on pushing the city's established dance scene to new levels, it also encourages the next generation to get hungry and step up to the challenge.
Based on a unique format, Medal Jam gives each dancer the opportunity to hold the "City King" title and accompanying medallion for the duration of a month, at which point their rule will be threatened by a secret challenger at the next event. Aside from the City King Challenge, the jam also hosts a monthly battle series which varies in format from one event to the next.
Medal Jam is all about bringing the bboy community closer together and building bridges with the public, businesses and media outlets that support them. The event also aims to encourage bboys to uphold a strong sense of pride towards their city while offering friendship and support to the next generation of dancers.
We are pleased to announce the arrival ofwww.medaljam.com! The new site will aim to keep followers of the series updated with dance news in your city and update you all on the progress of current and future Medal Jams across Australia and now in Japan.
