About me:
One can never know when a medical emergency will occur. However, being prepared for such an emergency can mean the difference between life and death.
Dedicated to promoting awareness about and preparing for medical emergencies, MedAware is a site designed to help you save lives.
MedAware's Focus:
Food Allergies
Most people know very little about food allergies until they, or some they know develops them. If left untreated, food allergies can cause a range of unpleasant side effects and can lead to anaphylactic shock or death. Most allergic reactions are unpredictable, which means that someone with food allergies should always be prepared for a severe reaction. It is very important that not only should anyone with food allergies learn to identify and avoid allergens, but that their support network (family & friends) also know how to help prevent and respond to allergic reactions.

Tell us why your little angel should be our Hero of the Month. Children with food allergies deal with so much stress in their lives. We want to do something special for them. We will be featuring one lucky winner and their story in December. Send us your stories, pictures or your child's drawings. Anyone with a food allergy or has a food allergic loved one can enter. Prize package for December includes allergy bag, stickers, Kyle Dine's new food allergy music cd, epi pen trainer and much more. Deadline for entries is November 20th. You can email us your stories to
