About me:
Education and the law were two tools utilized by the NAACP leader Medgar Evers in the fight to bring justice, equality and opportunity to people of color during the civil rights movement prior to his tragic assassination in 1963. Denied admission to “Ole Miss” Law School, he returned to ensure the subsequent admission of James Meredith as its first Black student to study law. In keeping with his legacy and example, the College’s School of Professional and Community Development is offering a comprehensive Paralegal Studies career training certificate program that will enable students to acquire the information and expertise necessary to access this fast growing and vital field. Operated by the Adult and Continuing Education Division since 2003, the School of Professional and Community Development has expanded the Medgar Evers’ College Paralegal Studies Certificate Program to be a comprehensive 18-month career-training program. As revised, the program will provide students with all of the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to facilitate their entry into legal professions and maximize their marketability as paralegals or legal assistants. To qualify for a Medgar Evers’ College Paralegal Studies program certificate, students are required to meet registration requirements, pay all tuition and fees, maintain minimal attendance requirements of at least 80% in each class with a minimal passing grade of 75 in each course and successfully complete an internship placement.

Who I'd like to meet:
Students must present an original High School Diploma or GED, and any certified college transcripts, if applicable, at registration. In addition, students will be required to take a federally approved ABE exam, unless they provide proof of CUNY certification in reading and writing or a certified transcript indicating conferral of an Associates Degree or higher from an accredited US college or university. Due to the comprehensive nature of the program, students will only be admitted in the fall and spring. THERE IS NO SUMMER ADMISSION INTO THE PROGRAM. Transfer credit may be granted on a case by case basis. Tuition for the entire program is $3610.** There are a variety of payment strategies students can utilize in paying tuition that can be discussed with registration staff. Individual course price lists can be provided upon request. Students should remember that there is a $20 registration fee added to the cost for each individual registration activity. **Textbooks are required and are not included in the course prices. In addition, there are one-time certificate, lab and internship placement fees that are not included in the advertised cost of tuition. Any exam fees for independently administered exams are not included in the cost of tuition.

Hello Friend:

I was working on my webpage over this last week or two. Came up with an interesting” life” tool to look at if you wish to see it. In the mean time here is the written form.

Draw a triangle. Put your NAME in the middle because this is about YOU. At the top put PURPOSE; bottom left KNOWLEDGE; bottom right PASSION.

PURPOSE: We all have a purpose when we do something. So I ask you today; if you had no limit with money; what would you do with your life? Ask yourself this question until you find an answer that is beyond materialistic ideas.
What is it about those ideas that appeal to you the most?

PASSION: The PURPOSE that drives you so much that you will do anything to achieve it. Nothing will stop you; you will find answer around problems; you will ask friends family for help. You will seek out all KNOWLEDGE to achieve your heart's desire.

KNOWLEDGE: Your life is your KNOWLEDGE; use the tools you have gathered to achieve everything you want. KNOWLEDGE improves with education and life experience.
Learn something new today!

Back to YOUR triangle. If you take out any one thing from any corner of the triangle YOU loose PASSION, YOU loose PURPOSE, YOU loose the chance to have more KNOWLEDGE. Notice how YOU are in the center of the triangle. That is because this is all about YOU.

Have a prosperous day
