YES WE REALLY HAVE BEEN DJING FOR ABOUT 15 YEARS...HARDCORE WAS THE BIRTH,BUT EVERY NIGHTCLUB WE HAVE PLAYED AT HAS EITHER BEEN DESTROYED (WHISPERS) OR HAD THE DANCE FLOOR CUT OUT (UPSTAIRS THE CRY) BECAUSE WE WHERE SO CRAP, WE SET THE SPEAKERS ON FIRE (AGAIN WHISPERS) AND PLAYED HARDCORE TECHNO TWO A HUNDRED 9 YEAR OLDS IN ASKAM ONCE BECAUSE SOMEONE PLAYED A TRICK ON US. WE HAVE STARTED MAKING SOME MUSIC BUT I WOULD ONLY EVER PLAY IT TO ANYONE BUT MY MISSUS UNTIL IT SOUNDS BETTER THAN THE PRODIGY..FOR THE RECORD SHE SAYS MY CURRENT TRACK WAS AND I QUOTE "THE WORST THING I HAVE EVER HEARD, I WOULDNT EVEN SPIT ON THE DANCE FLOOR IF THAT CAME ON" SO PLENTY TO WORK ON. WE DO VJ AND WE WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST AT THAT BECAUSE WE BUM THE INTERNET.WE JOINED FORCES WITH PETE WILSON FOR SOME GIGS RECENTLY AND WE LIKE HIS FACE AND CLOTHES AND HIS MUSIC IS PRETTY SWEET AS WELL. IT SOUNDS LIKE A SHOTGUN GOING OFF INSIDE A KETTLE WITH A HAMSTER PLAYING A XYLOPHONE CLOSE BY...NICE.

This weekend brings the final Homegrown residency of 2008 at the Canteen Cinema Room. This month the Homegrown Djs will be joined for a live performance by very special guest Zenfo’s M.C. Gav Sta (a.k.a. Von Jeetz)The Homegrown Xmas special will begin at 9pm on Saturday, expect the usual party atmosphere with the finest funk hip hop and yuletide breaks beats and treats. enty will be £5 on the door.
You can also catch the Homegrown Djs supporting Fingathing with a special one off 4 turntables 2 mixers set at the Canteens Big Boxing Night Bash.
No rest for the wicked....a mere 3 weeks after the last session Movement is back at the Cinema Room on Saturday 20th September.
Expect the usual solid beats and tasty grooves combined with the freshest visuals, however a slight change in format this month sees turntable duties handled just by Ste Kendall and Ad Bickerdike, as Kid Cagoule is going back to basics and providing live percussion for the night instead.
Doors open from 10pm till 3am, and the only way to get behind the movement is to get down there. Raid the copper jar, search down the back of the sofa or get a mate to pay, but either way it's only $3 in for one of the best nights out until next month......
