Set the name and image aside; Medicated Kisses aren't your typical female-fronted rock band. This Boston quintet completely blows the doors off of many unsigned and even quite a few signed bands with their aggressive rock 'n roll sound. Alanna, MK's frontwoman, has one of the deepest voices I've heard in contemporary rock. Is this lofty praise for an unsigned band? Of course, but it's well-deserved.

Medicated Kisses is currently in the process of recording their record with Michael Birnbaum and Chris Bittner (Ill-air Productions) at Applehead Studios in Woodstock, NY. Ill-air has recorded and produced such acts as Coheed and Cambria, The Sleeping, Codeseven, Straylight Run, Bad Brains, King Crimson, Parliament Funkadelic, and many many more.
I'm hitting the road in a couple of weeks to raise money for War Child, Coast-to-coast – 50 cities – ALL PROCEEDS TO WARCHILD. Why? 66% of all war victims are CHILDREN. Shocked like me?
