Medicin is a creative threesome of a composer and arranger Evgeny Arsentev, a guitarist and composer Anton Khabibulin and a vocalist Edik Samoilov.
Evgeny was born in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, a city famous for its classical music.
In 1993 he entered the music college affiliated to St. Petersburg State Conservatoire playing violin. Evgeny also featured on the first project in Russia that released an album entirely comprised of Jungle tracks.
In 1999, he got an invitation from one of the Moscow producers and moved to the capital to work with pop bands (VIA Slivki, TT, Disco-Mafia).
In 2000, releasing an album with pop-singer Oscar that climbed quite high in Russian charts.
However by 2001, getting sick and tired of pop-stardom he left all the producers and projects becoming an independent artist. At that time he met a talented guitarist Anton Khabibulin. They decided to work together on a project Medicin. An outstanding vocalist Edik Samoilov had joined the band soon.
In 2004 Formation Records boss DJ SS included one of their tracks on the compilation Jazz & Bass Sessions vol. IV.
In 2005-2006 Medicin constantly works with DnB legend DJ SS on his projects as a production team, recording tracks for Peshay, MC Conrad remixes.
Medicin live show becomes one of the most bright performances in DrumnBass thanks to a strong production, brilliant live guitar parts and outstanding live vocals.
Formation Records plans to release Medicins album soon.
