Medicine Bag is a superpsychadelicheavymetalmotherfuckingrocknroll band from the high desert in beautiful Southern California. A passion driven force fueled by Rock-N-Roll soul, Medicine Bag's fun loving style and genre bending accessibility is organically honest and unfiltered, making them one of the best received bands in quite some time.
The band first saw light in October 2003 when four veterans of the local music scene (John King Ax, Curtis Johnson Big Bottom, Erik Farris Vox, Kurt Walton Circles) put together a project. Realizing the potency of the music, the band quickly set its eyes on the prize and recorded their self-produced debut EP, El Thrasho. Armed with fresh material, Medicine Bag exploded onto the So. Cal music scene.
With over two hundred live performances to their credit and having shared the stage with numerous national acts, Medicine Bag brings a calibrated, professional presence to the stage. Regarded as one of the premier Live Bands in Southern California by the underground community, their straight from the heart raw energy performances and down to earth nature have entertained rabid audiences across California and Arizona. Whether its Hollywood, Orange County or the Inland Empire, Medicine Bags fan base continues to spread like a southland brush fire.
The band is currently putting finishing touches on the material for their debut full-length album and will enter the studio ASAP. ROCK!
