Review from Surface fest rnd1 2008:
"Matching incandescent anger with both delicacy and imagination, the instant comparison to draw with the 'funky metal' outfit from Aylesbury would be Rage Against The Machine. With driving, rifling chords and cheeky, sweeping bass tones, they demonstrated a devious complexity, as though they had masterminded their sound with a technical expertise before adding that elusive artistic touch. Lead singer Adam Sawyers used the space as a cathartic release to build on a searing set, bringing a roar out of the crowd that would do any King of the Jungle proud."

Described as: 'like Soulfly if Trent Reznor were part of the band,' their debut album "There's No Profit in Truth", album mixes the pent up frustration of acts such as Rage Against The Machine with the raging, highly charged riffs of classic Machine Head. Good, honest, politically aware and highly charged Metal at its best...

SEVEN is incredibly proud to present a night of laughs and brilliant musicianship with ADRIAN EDMONDSON and THE BAD SHEPHERDS!
Saturday May 23rd
"The Bad Shepherds play punk songs on folk instruments. Not as a gag, but because we really like the noise. We think the songs are better than people remember. We love folk instruments. It works.
We do songs by The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Stranglers The Jam, Sham 69, The Undertones, Talking Heads, Squeeze and others, even Kraftwerk! Alright, they're not all punk, but they come from roughly the same era.
We've mostly given the songs a kind of Celtic feel, and we've stuck in the odd reel and jig here and there. But occassionally we just thrash! I've always thought the excitement of a reel taking off is the nearest thing to the excitement of watching punk live in the 70's."
Tickets £15 advance from here: http://gigantic.com/gigantic/event_gce_11879a.html
