Rachel Morrison and Tom E Morrison created a tour de force in the year 2000, which they called Meeker. The first 3 singles (Save Me, Mountains, Let’s come together) were signed to independent UK Label Underwater, and hit the top 5 of the UK Dance Charts and were played extensively on mainstream radio. These tracks were also compiled on Platinum selling albums world-wide.
Touring UK Universities (Cream Live Tour), Clubs (Fabric, Cream, Ministry of Sound, Red Box Dublin...) and Major Festivals (Homelands, Creamfields, Phoenix..) in the same line up with bands like Moby , Underworld, Primal Scream, and DJ's like Darren Emerson, Judge Jules ,Future Shock....
Meeker combines the energy of trance, the depth and the soul of a blues vocal, acoustic intimacy, the rawness of rock and the poignancy of lyrics lived and breathed. Excelling live, Meeker's dynamic and diverse performance take their audience on a breathtaking experience; on a roller coaster of emotion and energy.
Including tracks such as Shadow Man (featured on the score and soundtrack of hit indie film London To Brighton) and the live recording of Shine On taken from their appearance on the Cream Live tour, the new Meeker EP "Seeker" is a perfect taster for their forthcoming studio album.
Press:
"Tom's bluesy guitar snakes beautifully around Rachel's gospelized vocal over Underworld-esque beats - One to watch for the millennium."
MIX MAG
"Morrison's swoon-and-croon of a voice sounds like it's truly testified to the blues of soul and the soul of gospel."
