So wie der Namensgeber ihrer Zusammenarbeit: Meeks Lorikeet. Bunt, weil... "bunt gemischt"! Sowohl was Alter, Geschlecht und Herkunft der beiden Bandmitglieder betrifft. Herkunft in räumlicher aber vor allem in musikalischer Hinsicht!
Pop trifft auf Techno, Goa auf Ambient und verbindet sich zu einem neuen Ganzen. Man möchte meinen, musikalische Kompromisse stünden beim Songwriting der beiden an der Tagesordnung ... dem ist aber nicht so! Die Referenzen der beiden stellen das Fundament ihrer Musik dar, auf dem das Interesse nach Neuem aufsetzt. Die Songs entstehen indem die Arrangements zwischen beiden solange hin und her gereicht werden, bis jeder mit seinem dazu beigetragenen Teil zufrieden ist.
Stilistische Homogenität steht keinesfalls im Vordergrund. Bewußt wird aus den unterschiedlichen Genres geschöpft und experimentiert. Was die Tracks von Meeks Lorikeet unverkennbar macht, ist einerseits die Experimentierfreudigkeit von Christian und andererseits die Stimme von Veronika, die man einfach bemerken und sich merken muss!
