I have mad respect for people who can make their personality show through in the music they create and don't stick to just one style; original ideas strongly encouraged. Also props to those who are both good producers & excellent performers/djs/live acts. I am constantly learning and checking out new music; it's the best.
For the politics of it : download music for free if you want, but buy it if you like it and show some support for the work of the people you are diggin.' That's how to keep the music industry alive. Word.
Overall:
I'm a sucker for a deep bassline and good beats, purr for well done sound systems, have frequent crushes on bleeps, clicks and glitchiness, and am starry-eyed in love with live electronic music production. Good songwriting, talented vocalists / singers / bands, and experimental music also give me butterflies. BPM range is anything from super dubbed out to drum 'n bass craziness with a good techno dose and all kinds of things in between.
