“Meet in the Hedge” is a monthly get together for people who like listening to, or performing live ‘acoustic’ music. Now in it’s seventh year, it is a friendly welcoming evening.
June sees the 100th edition of Meet in the Hedge. We are planning a party, so bring your party hats and a plate of food. There will be at least a 30 minute bar extension and some old friends will be making an appearance. If it's good weather we will set up in the garden with a full sound system for everybody to use
Here’s some of what you can expect;
No restriction on the types of music played. (a typical evening often consists of a wide variety of styles and instruments which could include, guitar, bodran, saxophone, trumpet, recorder, violin or even on one occasion a Sarangi).
No Booking to perform. (Just turn up and ask to play, we’ll fit you in).
Poets welcome.
(Some people prefer to read poetry rather than sing or play. We don’t mind).
Public Debuts.
Many people come along to make their public debuts here. Come and meet the stars of tomorrow.
Meet in the Hedge is held at the Feathers Inn, Town Green, Wymondham, beginning at 8PM, admission is FREE. It is advisable to get there early if you want a seat. Meals are available and can be served at your table whilst you watch the various acts.
Come and visit us one Sunday night, you won’t be disappointed.
