“Meet in the Hedge” is a monthly get together for people who like listening to, or performing live ‘acoustic’ music. Now in it’s eigth year, it is a friendly welcoming evening.
June 2009 saw the 100th edition of Meet in the Hedge. We had a great party which was enjoyed by all.
Here’s some of what you can expect at the Hedge;
No restriction on the types of music played. (a typical evening often consists of a wide variety of styles and instruments which could include, guitar, bodran, saxophone, trumpet, recorder, violin or even on one occasion a Sarangi).
No Booking to perform. (Just turn up and ask to play, we’ll fit you in).
Poets welcome.
(Some people prefer to read poetry rather than sing or play. We don’t mind).
Public Debuts.
Many people come along to make their public debuts here. Come and meet the stars of tomorrow.
Meet in the Hedge is held at the Feathers Inn, Town Green, Wymondham, beginning at 8PM, admission is FREE. It is advisable to get there early if you want a seat. Meals are available and can be served at your table whilst you watch the various acts.
Come and visit us one Sunday night, you won’t be disappointed.
