The Neighbors were originally formed in the Bay Area by Colby Pollard, Randy Brown and Joe Hester. Colby and Randy grew up next door to each other and Joe and Randy are cousins. The band was based on life-long friendship, artistic support, and unbridled fun. New member Rich Dorsi is a friend from way back and a true kindred spirit. The Neighborhood is now complete.
Musical influences are wide, ranging from The Beatles, to Bruce, to traditional folk. Their self-titled debut cd is "full of hook-laden music saturated with energy, excitement, and substance".
Collectively and individually The Neighbors have played with many artists including Neil Finn, Brian Setzer, Lyle Workman, Terry Reid, Norton Buffalo, Huey Lewis, Steven Stills, The Everly Brothers, and Smash Mouth.
