Photography, art, all Animals, all dogs, especially PITBULLS who have it so incredibly bad. I love busting people for mistreatment of animals. I love to be social, I love great talks with my bestfriends, my fantastic hard working husband who puts up with all my 'dog stuff' and is the most amazing dog papa, hula hooping, nature, Hawaii, Manhattan (my great hometown) Italy, and France (I'll always remember Paris)
Absolutely no horror movies, I hear about too much horror in real life, I need to be cheered up! I like comedies the most.
Television
Don't watch it, I don't have time to watch TV! Only Animal Planet or NGTV, or anything educational. I read a lot. I'm also on the computer A LOT networking the homeless animals and signing petitions, writing letters and stories. I like "Girlie Girl Army' a newsletter for girls who love fashion, vegan food, and animals.
Books
There are so many...but I will only list the books I love that pertain to Animals for this page.
'The dogs who found me'..fantastic! Thanking the Monkey, Skinny Bitch,
'Cesar's Way'...the best, I love that adorable Cesar!
'The other End of the leash"
Jane Goodall's book that I haven't read yet, but looks great.
Heroes
Anyone who is not afraid to STAND UP for a peaceful, environmental, humane cause....
About me: I am Diana Lannes, a photographer based in Hollywood, as well as a DIRECTOR OF ANIMAL WELFARE for the City of Los Angeles. I dedicate this page to helping all animals through my work. My goal is to educate people with photos, links and news about the harsh realities of what a lot of animals unfortunately have to endure. A lot of people do not know, or choose not to know.
I intend to spread the news in a manner that is not too preachy or depressing, (well, that's hard!) but yet very informative. I want to make it a 'positive' experience for people to learn what they can do to help all animals.
http://WWW.DAWSLA.BLOGSPOT.COM for all my favorite rescue groups in the LA area.
DON'T BREED OR BUY, WHILE SHELTER PETS DIE!
Who I'd like to meet: Fellow Animal Lovers, Wayne Pacelle, Morrissey, Moby, Jane Goodall, Bjorn Joffee, Chris DeRose, Marlene Goodman, Lori Weise, Joaquim Phoenix, Lloyd Levine, Cesar Millan, and pretty much anybody who is not afraid to be a voice for the voiceless animals and environment.
I worked outside a good portion of Saturday. The weather has been been exceptionally warm. I wanted to have the gardens ready to plant in a few weeks. I hope the faeries come for a visit once I do.:):)
Thank you for putting us on your top friends. We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and always keep fighting for animals. Thank you for everything.
