MegaZilla was a two piece band featuring an 8 string bass run through 3 amps and drums. Originating in Columbia, Missouri they eventually moved to Austin where they released an album on Australian Cattlegod Records entitled 'Please, Please, Sorry, Thank You.' In their short time together they opened for Mastadon, Harvey Milk, No Means No, Jucifer, Cave, as well as touring with Lozen, The Hanson Brothers, Warhammer 48k and played Fuck by Fuck You 3 years straight. MegaZilla did a recording collaboration with This Is My Condition and a live collaboration with The Snake Trap. MegaZilla had a lot of fun.
"MEGAZILLA...put most of the recent rudderless post-rock and stoner bands to shame... nimble, tumultuous drum crashes....stirring slacker vocals and nimble bass rifferama. THE MELVINS and LIGHTNING BOLT are two quality bands. If you dig 'em, let MEGAZILLA kick you in the teeth for thirty minutes."-album review on Peacedogman.com
"The most impressive thing about Megazilla's performance was the amount of people who were captivated by their show. during the quiet parts of songs there was not a single voice. All eyes were on these two creating a great warm up for the eventual headliners Mastodon." -Show review by Billy Schu of Foundry Fielding Recordings
"I had organs rattling that I didn't know existed!" -Adam Powers.
