Mama was a rolling stone...and also a folkie fan and my pops loved elvis/opera and rosemary clooney. My uncle introduced me when i was a wee one to the likes of legendary nina simone, zeppelin and thelonius monk... I love music, from pretty much every genre from folk to hip hop to electronic to puerta rican mountain music to bluegrass to indie to latin to hardcore to world to classical and everything in between, so let me know what YOU like or YOU make and I'd love to check it out!

Let your love flow outward through the universe, To its height, its depth, its broad extent, A limitless love, without hatred or enmity. Then as you stand or walk, Sit or lie down, As long as you are awake, Strive for this with a one-pointed mind; Your life will bring heaven to earth. - Sutta Nipata
Megan has been a musician longer that she has worn many of her other hats. A "Jill" of all trades, she is a musician, theater artist, writer and holistic care practitioner. As the inspiring Martha Graham once said, "Above all else, keep the channel open." Megan has strived to do just that and let her expression flow in many forms, changing as needed. She grew up in New Jersey, and went to college at Ramapo College studying American Studies and Theater, and then went to the Institute for Therapeutic Massage at the University of Medicine and Dentistry, before pursuing her Master of Fine Arts in Detroit, MI at Wayne State University. She began studying the Michael Chekhov technique while in graduate school and loves this work very much. She enjoys using it in both live musical and theatrical rehearsal and performance. She continues to search for the ways in which the magic of life and magic of art communicate and interact, across mediums and and across social and cultural boundaries. Her studies have been varied, but they have all been deep explorations of various facets of the human condition and experience. Arts education and access in her youth literally saved her life, she says, and she is committed to ensuring in her own way that everyone has access and the means to voice their inner artist. For this reason, she strives to help raise awareness about the importance of living wages for artists, as well as the beautiful philanthropic opportunities that exist with live performances as well as installations. Currently living in Buffalo, NY, ( a wonderful place if you haven't been!) her wandering spirit began in New Jersey, but has also lived in Detroit, and Chinatown, NY and has traveled to Russia, the UK, France, Italy, San Francisco, the Northwest, Hawaii, most recently cross country... a hidden desire to be an ethnomusicologist because of her "voracious black-hole of an appetite for music," she loves to create or partake in the art of music, listen to others, and inspire those who think they can't to try their hand as well. Her original roots are in folk and folk rock, but in recent years jazz and blues have found their way into the mix and she is excited to explore more electro-acoustic possibilities and multi-medium collaboration. Constantly striving for deep honesty, truth, bravery and vulnerability in her work, she searches for new forms and sounds, and hopes above all else, to simply be present and open to what is possible.
