Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket My playlist isn't long, but it's comprised of random songs that all make me happy for different reasons. I love ABBA, Jack Johnson, Buddy Holly, Simon & Garfunkel, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, The Mamas & the Papas, Edith Piaf, Keane, O.A.R., Elvis, The Killers, the "Chicago" soundtrack (when I'm feeling sassy), Jason Mraz (when I'm feeling like a spaz) or the soundtrack from "Secretary" (when I'm feeling naughty). I also love the following songs: "Crimson and Clover" by Tommy James and the Shondells, "Love is All Around" by The Troggs, "Oh What a Night" by The Four Seasons, "Light My Fire" by the Doors and "Rock & Roll" by Eric Hutchinson.

Holy crap, I guess my scenes didn't end up on the cutting room floor after all! Please enjoy the trailer for "A Thousand Years of Good Prayers." Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Photobucket Don't get me started on this topic! Movies are my passion, so the list of ones I enjoy is a long and eclectic one. The following are a few of my favorites: "Dumb and Dumber," "The Talented Mr. Ripley," "Seven," "Garden State," "Secretary," "Igby Goes Down," "L.A. Confidential," "The Silence of the Lambs," "Saving Private Ryan," "Chicago," "What's Eating Gilbert Grape," "28 Days Later," "Dawn of the Dead," "Bad Santa," "Apollo 13," "Narc," "Quills," "Clay Pigeons," "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind," the series of "Horatio Hornblower" films, "Old School," "Fargo," "The 40 Year Old Virgin," "Reservoir Dogs," "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas," "The Bourne Identity," "Fight Club," "To Die For," "The Usual Suspects," "Good Will Hunting," "Bad Santa," "The Young Poisoner's Handbook," "Super Troopers" and more!

dexter Pictures, Images and Photos breaking bad Pictures, Images and Photos House Photobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket I may be a little biased (being that I was one of the gals on the show), but "Momma's Boy's" is freakin' awesome! Trust me, it's people-watching at its finest and highly entertaining. Plus, there's lots o' boobies (not mine though). Sadly, "Momma's Boys" can't air every night, so you might be wondering what to watch on Tuesday. "Breaking Bad" is phenomenal (Sundays on AMC)- I cannot rave about it enough! The writing is brilliant and the performances inspire me. I'm also obsessed with a rad little edu-tainment program by the name of "Dirty Jobs" (Tuesdays on Discovery). If you haven't already tuned in, the show features hot host Mike Rowe profiling dirty professions with a sexy blend of articulate humor and machismo that I can't get enough of. Thankfully, the scheduling of this program no longer conflicts with my other favorite, "House." What else do I while away the hours watching? I loved "Arrested Development" and still mourn that it's no longer on. Now though, I can't miss "The Office" (Steve Carell's a comic genius), "Dexter" (Michael C. Hall is flawless, plus there's dismemberment), "Judge Judy" (she's a brazen ball-buster and I love her for it), "Dr. G Medical Examiner" (I love me some graphic autopsy footage), "The Soup" (I want to do dirty things to host Joel McHale), "A 1000 Ways to Die," "CSI: Las Vegas" (I boycott "CSI: Miami" because I firmly believe that David Caruso is too ugly to be on television). I also enjoy vintage episodes of "The Simpsons," "Scrubs" and "Tales from the Crypt." Finally, I can't resist "Cops," especially the episodes filmed in my ghetto hometown. Damn, I watch too much TV!
  • Books

Does "Star" magazine count? Just kidding! While I do love the guilty little pleasure that is "Star," I actually relish reading real books that bear no mention of Paris Hilton and her ilk. I'm a fan of the Ripley series penned by Patricia Highsmith, as well as vintage crime novels by James Ellroy and Frank Abagnale's memoir, "Catch Me If You Can." I sometimes enjoy the warped sensibilities of Chuck Palahniuk and Brett Easton Ellis, although I was disappointed in the film adaptation of "American Psycho" (David Fincher should have directed that movie). I've also been known to actually enjoy "The Canterbury Tales," "The Iliad," and "The Odyssey" (and other books students are frequently forced to read in school). In summation, I also have an affinity for muckraking books of all sorts. I loved "The Jungle" by Upton Sinclair, as well as "The Hot Zone," "The Pentagon Papers" and "Fast Food Nation."
  • Heroes

Photobucket Without a moment of hesitation I would say my mom! My mother is infinitely patient, supportive and wise. She's been both a mother and father to me, as well as a friend and confidant. She's sacrificed so much of herself on my behalf that I only hope I can one day become someone she deems worthy of all those sacrifices. My mom means more to me than anyone and I will forever measure my success in terms of how proud she is of me.

About me:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting I am something of a walking contradiction. I'm alternately fierce and fragile. I have a Criminal Justice Degree, but believe in the decriminalization of several taboo activities. I'm a germ-a-phobe, yet spend my free time at an animal shelter. I'm a horrible driver, but exercise, eat right and take my vitamins. I'm so frugal I can squeeze blood from a nickel, but love to spoil those I cherish. Suffice it to say, that sometimes I make very little sense- even to myself. I love all creatures great and small, especially my 6 cats- Simone, Cherie, Honeybee, my one-eyed little man Baxter, Juno and the newest addition to my feline family, baby Penelope. I also enjoy playing with animals that aren't mine at the animal shelter. In addition, I like writing, a rousing game of Scrabble, savoring a cup of coffee with friends, traveling, reading, people-watching, cleaning, viewing copious amount of television and going to the movies (which is always more fun with my best friend Amanda)! A sense of humor is a necessity (the dirtier the better), as I love to laugh and make others laugh too. I have no room in my life for pomposity and pretension, which is why I tend to gravitate towards folks who are down-to-earth and don't take themselves too seriously. I enjoy meeting kind, intelligent, ambitious people who challenge and motivate me to be the best possible version of myself. I'm sarcastic, neurotic, hardworking and honest. My ultimate goal is live in such a way that I can look back and say at least I tried my hardest to erase some of the bad in the world. If I end up with engaging story of a multifaceted life along the way, that's even better!

Who I'd like to meet:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Judge Judy Pictures, Images and Photos Hmmm, who would I like to meet? Well, who wouldn't want to have an encounter with their favorite celebrity? I know I certainly would want to meet several famous people, if only to see if they are pretentious douchebags in real life. My list would include Hugh Laurie (Dr. House can examine me anytime), (his equally hot co-star) Robert Sean Leonard, Mike Rowe (love his dirty humor), Judge Judy (she's a brazen ball-buster & I adore her for it), Natalie Portman (simply exsquisite), Tina Fey & Amy Poehler (their wit inspires me), Cate Blanchett (so classy), Judge Marilyn Milian, Dr. Phil (so I could give him a swift kick in the groin), George W. Bush (for the same reason), Paris Hilton (so I could admonish her for setting the female empowerment movement back a good twenty years) and (finally) someone capable of real, reciprocal love, who'll embrace (or at least overlook) all of my idiosyncrasies!
