"I want to say I have no idea how you did it in that heat. But it sure was hot. I was there from 9am to midnight. What a long day but worth every minute and sweat. I want to Thank you and the staff from the Coca Cola 400 for having you there. You were great. I have been going to races for years and I haven't seen many singers I liked. Your songs and music really touched my heart and I am looking forward to listening to your CD. The words to your songs matched a lot of things in my life. Keep up the great work. You have a wonderful voice. God Bless and Take care;) " - Ashley, Fan - Florida

Your music impresses me so much that when I had to give a program for the Ministry of Education Distance Learning (whole of China) today, I introduced your myspace site as a good place to check. I think your profile views instantaneously jumped by over 5,000 views. Trouble is most listeners don't have broadband and can only view the site! Anyway, making you famous in China!!! Keep "Runnin' with the Rich and Rowdy." - John - China
"If you want to be able to say, "I knew her before she was a superstar,"... well, you had better hurry up and get to know Megan Linville NOW because you don't have much time left before she IS." - Cheryl Harvey Hill - CSO Sr. Staff Journalist
Some may say the "music gene" is a curse, but Megan Linville chose to view it as a blessing by following in the footsteps of generations of family performers and songwriters. Born and raised in the rolling hillside country, north of Nashville, Tennessee, Megan somehow knew that she would also take that same time-worn path that beckoned her to follow.
Her deep-rooted love of music can be traced back to her great, great, great, great grandfather (many "great grandfathers" ago), noted hymn composer Jonathon Edwards. Several generations of hymn writers, singers, performers, and probably a few snake oil sellers came and went. Great grandfather, Samuel Lewis McBee, was a Vaudeville performer, performing with the likes of Bing Crosby and Bob Hope and with his band, The Radio Serenaders, played the first live music aired on radio in Alabama. Megan's grandfather, Jerry McBee, was a noted Nashville singer/songwriter who wrote well over 700 songs for Nashville's country stars, including the late, great Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, Eddie Arnold, Billy Walker and many others throughout several decades of his career.
Megan's first live performance was at the age of 7 in front of a "captive audience" of over 250 wedding attendees where she belted out the "Theme From Love Story" never missing a beat or even batting an eye. Throughout her school years she sang at every talent show, musical, play and county festival that she possibly could.
Megan began focusing on a career in country music while still in high school. After class, Megan would wind her way down to Music Row where she soon began making friends and acquiring a working knowledge of some of the "ins and outs" of the Nashville music industry. For her, the desire to succeed in this business was like pouring gasoline on a flame.
After high school, she began crafting her own style of songs writing with talented Nashville songwriters. Her growing catalog of songs identifies the sassy, up-tempo, female-empowering, fun, country style that she loves...(picture Jason Aldean in high heels and a short skirt!) Writer's nights and showcasing with a band at various venues around Music City and the mid-TN area quickly followed. While writing and continuing to hone her craft, she had the chance to sing extensively in the studio, took tons of vocal, performance and guitar lessons, never forgetting these old words of wisdom, " if you ever stop growing you must be dead."
Megan recorded her inaugural CD under the production of the multi-talented, Grammy award winning John Carter Cash in August of 2007. "The rush of recording at the famed Cash Cabin Studio and actually singing into the microphone that the Man in Black recorded on was a very powerful and humbling experience," said Megan.
Megan continues to dig deep into the business of the music industry by writing with many of Nashville's talented songwriters along with building an exciting, action-packed performance schedule "hop-scotching" from coast-to-coast with a band that is made up of a group of some of Nashville's finest musicians. Megan knows that each leg of this journey is exciting but it also requires tremendously long, pressure-filled hours of hard work, persistance and professionalism. However, "If the good Lord's willing and the creek don't rise," Megan prays that you'll be hearing a lot more of her as the future unfolds.
Her songs are being played on radio stations around the world and she has been featured in several publications including CountryStarsOnline.com, Today's Country Magazine and in the "Listen Up!" section of Country Weekly Magazine, where artists-to-watch are recognized.
Megan's show schedule includes fan concerts, anthems and performances for groups of as few as 30 people to over 100,000. "The way I feel is that if anyone wants to listen to my music I am more than honored to perform and maybe, just maybe, I'll just win that new fan over!" Shows include performances with; The Cincinnati Reds, The Indy 500, Atlanta Braves, Watkin's Glen Int'l NASCAR, Daytona Coke Zero 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, The Allstate Brickyard 400 Sprint Cup Series, Tioga Downs Resort and Casino, Chicago White Sox and the famed Eddie's Attic outside of Atlanta, as well as main-stage performances with well-known country artists Jason Aldean, Phil Vassar, Heidi Newfield, Julianne Hough, and a host of other talented performers. Whenever her schedule allows, Megan is also quick to accept performance requests for Benefit concerts such as The American Cancer Society and The SMA Awareness Society. Each year, she also commits days and days of her busy schedule to planning and co-hosting the annual CFF Pickin' Party Benefit for The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation that is held at her small farm outside of Nashville. This event holds a special place in her heart because her cousin, Dane, was born with Cystic Fibrosis. You'll frequently hear Megan educating people about Cystic Fibrosis and the urgent need to find that cure!
"I work my music 24/7", states Megan, "and if I can win just one new fan and supporter by "tweeting", "Myspacing" or "Facebooking" you better believe that I'll do it or die trying!" Megan extends a sincere invitation for you to drop by her website and visit her Myspace page frequently. Like an old friend, you are always welcome!.....
