Sounds Like
My "instrument" is similar in pitch, range and timbre to k. d. lang. But what I do with the instrument depends on the material. I can be a refined mezzo-soprano or a down home yodeling milkmaid or a hellcat in the sack.
The illegitimate child of Cliff Edwards and Judy Canova, Megan Lynch has wowed them from the Hogtree Inn in Puckerbrush, Iowa all the way to the hallowed halls of the hoi polloi in Zzyzx, California. She is an instrumentalist. Her instrument is her vocal cords and she will plunk, thrum, hum, warble, yodel and grunt her way through any song that suits her fancy. Like many of the artists she digs (Kurt Weill, Brave Combo, 3Mustaphas3...), she defies easy categorization. Thank god. She's as comfortable singing a Floyd Tillman honky tonker as she is singing an art song. Her grandmother sang in front of a big band and Megan won't rest until she has too. **** View photos and contribute photos to the Megan Lynch Gig Gallery on Flickr. *** View Chi Merican's video of one of my gigs at Media Bistro***

Love your sister,
Hi, Megan! I'll be exploring more of your music as I get the time to visit more, but for starters -- you are one of the smartest, most interesting people I know online. So there! :-)
Hi, I listened to you sing for the first time tonight. I am duly impressed. Thanks for adding me. I have six whole friends, now! Well maybe five, because I don't think "Tom" is real.
