    Megan grabbed the acclaimed title of Best New Act in Country Music along with a $100,000 check in her winning of the Colgate Country Showdown, America’s largest and longest running country music talent search. Music has long been in this North Carolina gal’s soul. She began studying music at the age of seven and went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Appalachian State University, earning her Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy and is a Board-Certified Music Therapist. The singer/songwriter is trained in Classical piano, guitar, organ, and voice. She discovered her love of performing while working as a Music Therapist in various hospitals, assisted living facilities, and skilled nursing homes in North Carolina and Ohio. She has entertained audiences across the country, appearing at venues such as Howl at the Moon Piano Improvisation Bar in Cleveland, OH; Cheeseburger In Paradise in Asheville, NC; Coyote Joe’s in Charlotte, NC; The Double Door Inn in Charlotte, NC; Nassau Yacht Club in Nassau, Bahamas; the Wal-Mart Shareholders Convention in Fayetteville, AR; the famous Broadway strip in Nashville, TN; Atlanta Motor Speedway NASCAR pre-race ceremonies in Atlanta, GA; and the Ryman Auditorium. Megan has shared the stage with such artists as Tracy Lawrence, Jason Aldean, Joe Nichols, Rodney Atkins, Keith Anderson, Billy Currington, Ronnie McDowell, and Little Big Town.
