Born with a passion for animals, Megan Tomczak spent the early years of her life growing up in her home state of Michigan. As a young adult, and after receiving her BS in Biology from Oakland University, Megan moved to Los Angeles, California. It is here, in Los Angeles, where Megan’s love for animals became a true and recognized gift, and an ultimate life endeavor.

Like many young adults, Megan’s initial jump to Los Angeles led her to explore work in the thriving entertainment industry. She immediately began interviewing and hosting for Step-Up Women’s Network, covering red-carpeted media events for multiple networks. While working in entertainment, Megan began dappling part-time in animal rescue with Shannon Elizabeth’s Animal Avengers. Deeply inspired to go further in the direction of animal rescue, Megan became co-creator of the Cat Adoption Program at Animal Avengers.
Megan’s part-time hobby soon became a determinate lifetime commitment while studying with the Hollywood Animals Exotic Animal Training Program, with whom she continues to work with today, actively training animals for film, television, and educational outreaches. Hollywood Animals, now just one of many animal programs Megan is associated with, harbors the primary home where she practices and exemplifies her expertise and personal involvement training such beings as: lions, tigers, bears, leopards, monkeys, snakes, birds, cats, and dogs among a plethora of other species.
Megan is an active participant in non-profit educational facilities and foundations as well. Animal Tracks is one such program where Megan donates her time to work with such animals as: wolves, snakes, and kinkajous among others.
Megan Tomczak founded her very own 501c3 non-profit organization in 2007, Megan’s Big Cat Foundation. This foundation is dedicated to supporting large (and small) cat sanctuaries in general, and furthermore, to the very specific purpose of building a one-of-a-kind, large cat sanctuary of her very own. Once Megan’s sanctuary is built, she will rescue abused or unwanted exotic animals (primarily large cats) and provide them with a safe haven to live out their lives.
In other recent news and future plans, Megan Tomczak has recently announced that she will be starring in Rock of Love 3 (Rock of Love Tour Bus) with Bret Michaels, which premieres in January 2009. Megan’s plans for 2009, following the premiere of ROL3, include: working on the development of her very own animal television show, and producing multiple Megan’s Big Cat Foundation events.

To put it plan and simple, I LOVE ANIMALS!!! All Animals!! Not only do I love them, but I train them all too. I set up this foundation to support those few animals who are not treated with the love and respect that they deserve. Most specifically, the rescue and rehabilitation of mistreated, unwanted, or abused Big Cats. The ultimate goal of this project is to create a Big Cat Sanctuary as a refuge for all these beautiful Big Cats to regenerate their lives. Though serious in topic, this work is a blast! Come help me help these amazing beings.
