BIOGRAFIA: The Megatones es la banda española de Rock & Roll más aclamada de los últimos tiempos. Durante 12 años de trayectoria han tenido el orgullo de compartir cartel con leyendas de los años 50 como Gene Summers, Billy Lee Riley, Sleepy LaBeef, Ray Campi, Curtis Gordon y muchos otros. Además han teloneado a otros grandes artistas internacionales como Crazy Cavan, The Rapiers, Metrotones, Matchbox,... Los integrantes de Megatones son músicos de reconocido prestigio que en algún caso han llegado a acompañar con su instrumento a artistas de la talla de Wanda Jackson, Graham Fenton (Matchbox), Ray Firth (Riot Rockers), Freddie “Fingers” Lee, Chris Evans, y un largo etcétera.
Tambien han participado en algunos festivales internacionales y en los más importantes festivales españoles repitiendo anualmente su visita al festival Rock & Roll Holidays and Screaming Festival hasta cuatro veces consecutivas. Durante el último año han girado por diversas provincias habiendo actuado en la última edición del Barcelona Hayride 2006, Costa Oeste 2006, Summer Means Fun 2006, etc... Su discografía consta actualmente de 2 Eps, uno de ellos compartido con Wild Bob Burgos (legendario batería de The Rapiers, Matchbox, Shotgun, Wild Angels...), tres recopilaciones (una de ellas editada por el sello japonés Revelyell) y por último un CD con trece temas editado en 2001.
En estos momentos la banda está preparando un nuevo trabajo en el estudio de grabación que seguro sorprenderá a sus seguidores.

In a twelve-year career they’re proud of having shared the bill with legends such as Gene Summers, Ray Campi, Sleepy LaBeef or Billy Lee Riley besides many others. They’ve been supporting band of artists like Crazy Cavan, The Rapiers, Metrotones, Matchbox... The members of The Megatones are renown musicians some of which have backed Wanda Jackson, Graham Fenton (Matchbox), Ray Firth (Riot Rockers), Freddie “Fingers” Lee, Chris Evans, amongst many others. The Megatones have been included in the bill of some international events and the most important spanish festivals, repeating their annual visit to the Rock & Roll Holidays and Screaming Festival four times in a row! During this last year they’ve toured all of Spain, including renown festivals like Barcelona Hayride 2006, Costa Oeste 2006, Summer Means Fun 2006, etc...
The Megatones discography consists of two EP’s, one of them is a split with Wild Bob Burgos (drummer of The Rapiers, Matchbox, Shotgun, Wild Angels...), three compilations (one of them for the Japanese label Revelyell) and a 13 tracks CD released on 2001. Queria, solo, deciros, que el orgullo español, no es, ni el toro de osborne, ni el vino, ni tantas cosas buenas de las que disfrutamos, decios, que MEGATONES, y ustedes a nivel personal, sois parte de la vida que a tantos, como a mi, nos hace levantarnos cada dia, que sois la leche y que nuestros corazones, desbordan energia gracias a vuestra labor.
