About Thomasine Foss and the Moon Moths
Welcome to the Thomasine Foss and the Moon Moths world o’ wonder!

We are two sisters, the oldest and the youngest. We both write with our left hands. (We write our music with both) One has eyes of green, the other blue. One longs for sailing, the other loves the moon; put them together and that makes them both happy, too. We both feel too deeply and love too strongly; we laugh too loudly and can fret with longing.

To have found us here means you were looking hard, or were politely shown the way, as finding a Thomasine isn’t something that happens everyday.

The recordings are rough, but the intentions are good and most of the songs are written in the wee hours of the morning, as all good songs should.

It’s a bit of a secret society here, so if you feel the need to spread the word, please tell only those who would find these melodies lovely, intriguing or dare we say, healing? We are shy creatures and wouldn’t want to waste anyone’s time.

Currently we are in the process of writing some songs to sail by. Soon we will try our best to record them in a more adept fashion than you find them here.

Be well and in good spirits, friends.

The wind blows backwards all night long and rain makes applesauce.

Oh, just so you know these songs sound best on headphones and not the itty-bitty speakers on your computer. Just giving you fair warning.

Ok, i guess. I've been playing out some. Not as much as i would like...I've put in a little studio time here and there. How was the B-day bash? Oh, I meant to tell you that i watched your performance online the other night. It was spectacular!

Look how those girls can write! How are things up here in the woods? - better this morning after being greeted by your tapes. I'm glad you seem to realize how lucky & special you are to have both your sisterhood and your partnership/correspondence with one another in art.

'mazing how rough the recordings are and how elevated the music still feels. Proof of solid musical ideas, I say.

Well, you're welcome I suppose. I don't know if the thanks is due to me. He did it, I just relayed it.

Hey, since it's been so warm and the peanut butter is so fresh and non-contaminated, we should really do those PB&J's on the porch sometime soon, no?

Meghan, you have been heavy on my heart for whatever reason. As odd as this may seem, I thought of you when I read this...

Surely it was for my benefit that I suffered such anguish. In you love you kept me from the pit of destruction; you have put all my sins behind your back.
Isaiah 38:17

I don't know what you are dealing with, perhaps nothing and this is in vain, but you will remain in my prayers.
