Sometimes just me and my guitar, or with a couple other players
Sometimes in the band AUGUST with Linda Kidder, Beverley Elliott & Rae Armour (www.augustmusic.net)
Sometimes with co-writer Janet Lillian Russell in the duo "Lingo Sisters"
Influences
Northern Ontario, icicles on evergreens, the clack and hiss of skate blades on outdoor rinks, ships calling and foghorns by the river in early morning, the slosh of muddy boots on April roads, robin song, west-coast ocean waves, kitchen laughter, distant summer car sounds, ravens, acoustic guitar in bonfire-light, voices alone, piano in huge empty rooms, bluegrass at dusk....

"Beguilingly beautiful songs" (Steve Edge, Rogue Folk Club, host of radio show The Edge On Folk)
Originally from Northern Ontario, Meg has lived on the west coast for many years, performing at festivals, concerts and songwriter showcases. As well as presenting her songs as a solo act, Meg is currently performing around BC in the band "AUGUST" (with Linda Kidder, Beverley Elliott and Rae Armour).
Meg's solo CD "Driving With You" was released in 2001, exquisitely produced by John McArthur Ellis.
AUGUST's CD "The Sweetest Day", which includes four of Meg's songs, was released in 2007, co-produced by AUGUST and Andreas Schuld.
Hi Meg, Many thanks for the add. Great music. Would you mind if I played one or two of your songs on my shows sometime? Might help to spread the word a little. All the best to you, Paul
Hi Meg! Thanks for adding me. Found you on Ian North's page. I love your sweet sound and the gentle way you have of telling stories in song. Had a great time visiting the August page too.
Hi Meg - we wish we were coming to Vancouver this time around, too - we're going to freeze in Red Deer! Hopefully be back to Vancouver in '09 later in the year... peace, G
I'm doing a CD release concert in Vancouver on Monday Dec 08th at the Cambrian Hall @ 215 East 17th / Main St. Hope you can make it down for the show. Doors open at 7:00PM Cheers, Brian
After hearing so many great acoustic guitar style singer songwriters from your beautiful country, I'm starting to think that Canada somehow mystically imparts a deep melodic and poetic wisdom to it's children. Surely your there among the best of them! Thank you for the add here and best wishes with surenity to you.
I love to take photographs. I learned recently that some photographs stand out from others because of what the photographer adds to the photograph. You are really loved, Meg. Love and Light, Rick
Hey Meg - it's so nice to hear your songs again! I hope the touring's been going well. I live in Minneapolis now with my AMERICAN boyfriend. It's a crazy life. How are your girls? Norah
Hi Meg, Spent the weekend on Hornby and had some time to work on some compositional improvements. I will try to get it recorded ASAP. It was great to see you at the party. Michael
Isn't that a great shot? Tully took it backstage at the Wise Hall before our gig last Sat. And I know what you mean about Gwendalyn. Did you get that it's about her committing suicide?
