About me:

.. I am the author of the fantasy web serial "An Intimate History of the Greater Kingdom," available free in online serial format, and in paperback and ebook. I try to write "normal" stories, but I always seem to start with the sexual relations among the characters and work out from there, no matter what I do. Otherwise, the story just doesn't flow. They tell me that my work has too much sex in it to be proper fantasy, and too much story in it to be proper erotica, and so I exist in a no-man's-land of my very own. I am married with two children, and MeiLin is a pen name, though Mei is very much a facet of my personality. I massively dig BPAL perfume, gluten-free cooking, 19th century fiction, Neil Gaiman, Patrick O'Brian, Americana music (especially Iron and Wine and Nickel Creek) and I'm a bit on the woo-woo side, though not obnoxiously so--call it practical woo-woo.

Who I'd like to meet:

*squeaks* Wow, thanks. #^-^# It's actually recently been cut off at my shoulders. But don't worry! It's better this way, it had become a pain.

Yeah, doesn't sound like I'd be overly interested then. I get all teary-eyed at movies since having my second child. Darn them kids messing with our emotions.

I have no idea what the fireflies one is about. I've also seen most of Studio Ghibli's films....or at least I think I have.
:D I always get 'em when I see 'em!

I liked Spirited Away, too. Have you see any of Miyazaki's other films? Howl's moving castle is a good one, which stays decently faithful to the book.
(And it has Christian Bale's voice! -swoon-)
