making movies, making music, anything horror or comic book related, anything dark and gruesome (but not in that maudlin Anne Rice "weekend Wiccan" way), reviewing music for spacecityrock.com, boxing (American and Thai), jujitsu, and some other martial arts. Been slacking on the last few for a while, but hopefully getting back into the groove soon.

Mel In doing research, I came across a thesis titled 'TO KILL WHITES'. Wait...they offer degrees in that?!? Is that like an "Anti"-Masters? Çarşamba - Twitter devamı
Hakkımda: I'm a 31 year old mulatto filmmaker who loves horror movies (especially the Nightmare On Elm Street series) and comic books (especially X-Men, Supreme Power, Miracleman, The Authority, Planetary, The Ultimates, Preacher, and The Walking Dead). I just finished another horror flick, called Walking Distance. This one has names, like Adrienne "Friday The 13th" King, Reggie "Phantasm" Bannister, and Debbie "American Nightmare" Rochon. Pretty damn surreal. Speaking of surreality, I was also just in Fangoria magazine (the March 2008 issue, #273). Oh, and I'm married to a hot actress. I also write and play music...most recently I played bass in a band called Radio Pioneer, and I'll probably start recording and playing my own stuff again shortly.
BUT...most importantly, I make movies. Horror movies, to be specific. Prior to Walking Distance, I completed Closet Space, which is a dark, Lovecraftian horror project that I directed. We started principal photography in May 2006, and wrapped shooting August 2006. The premiere was August 23, 2007 at the Studio Movie Grill in Houston, Texas. The house was packed. We had to turn folks away. It was awesome. Things turned out sick, slimy, and gross (which is exactly the zone I like to toil in). Fangoria featured Closet Space on their website a few months back, which was also awesome. Closet Space is out on DVD in Germany, is about to be out in Japan, and should be available in the U.S. before the end of the year. Check out our Myspace page or official website for some more articles, interviews and reviews on the movie. Closet Space also played the RIOFAN festival in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
Before I dove into post on Closet Space, I helped Gerald Nott with his follow-up to The Quick and The Undead. It's called The Flesh Keeper. I was the Unit Production Manager and unofficial Gun Guy. Check out the teaser at the link above - it's looking pretty cool. That flick premiered November 24th 2007 in Los Angeles, with a video release to follow.
Fishbone is one of my favorite bands. I was lucky enough to work as the Director of Photography on a documentary about them and other "Black Rockers". Electric Purgatory had a screening at the MFA in Houston in February 2008. We're working on a video release of that one as well.
In Spring 2006 I did a small mini-tour with Jonah Matranga as his bass player (culminating in an awesome show at the Equal Vision Records SXSW showcase). It was pretty neat - I got to play live on stage again, and with one of my musical heroes to boot. In July 2007, I shot a music video for Jonah for the lead single off of his new album, entitled "And". Things are REALLY starting to take off with that. It's crazy and surreal.
It's Great to have you as a friend, Hope you enjoyed watching our Movie trailer of Resurrection Mary. Now Available on DVD The New web site is now up, You can see another clip of the film.
Hi! Just wanted to make sure all my friends know that my new erotic horror novel THE 13TH is now in stores everywhere! I hope you'll check out this debauched and demonic horror ride!
There's even a website devoted just to the book, with an interactive map of the places and characters at www.the13th-horror.com.
Edward Lee called THE 13TH "A double-barreled shotgun blast of macabre entertainment -- an expert amalgamation of grotesquerie, eroticism, mystery, and pitch-black occult horror that no fan of the genre can miss."
And Gary A. Braunbeck said, "John Everson's The 13th is the first out-and-out horror novel in a long while to actually scare the **** out of me while reading it. It's stylish, extremely well-written, filled with richly-drawn characterizations, and boasts a labyrinthine plot worthy of Umberto Eco. Trust me -- this one will fry your nerves and break your heart."
