October 12th 1977 as a solar eclipse was happening outiside, I was born! I guess I made my own show when I arrived haha! It's a unique birth story anyway haha :)

Karen Carpenter - she has had a huge impact on the way I sing. Also Cass Elliot. Both of these ladies had such an amazing quality to their voices - something that I strive for :)
On a melodic writing scale, I think overall, Richard Carpenter, Burt Bacharach and Gary Cherone (an oddball mix, I know).
I have influences from real people that have had, and still do have a huge impact on my life.
Sara Bareilles is my new Idol - man, that girl sure can sing!
I guess my songs are like my journal - but I let the whole world read / listen to it haha! I often say that my songs are like a musical photograph - a time stamp of what I'm thinking :)
Sounds Like
I get a lot of 'Jewel' comparisions. Probably just the whole guitar thing.
All the songs on my page were written for / about people that have influenced my life. I was inspired in March 2004 to learn how to play guitar. Shortly after, I began writing original songs. Almost 5 years on, I have 55 originals and numerous collabs under my belt (50+). I just write from the heart. I really have no idea where the melodies or words come from - they just flow out of me. Mostly my songs are about longing, disappointment, being let down - oh please bring me a happy song haha!
